Some fantastic news about our members Ty Hafan!
Last night, on The 12th of December, Cardiff’s Marriott Hotel played host to the much-anticipated auction of the snowdogs where over 43 snow dogs were sold! Introbiz is pleased to reveal that over £151,000 was raised from the auction and another £50,000 raised from local schools and community groups, estimating a whopping grand total of £171,000!
This autumn, an exciting campaign was initiated by Ty Hafan, with a pack of 1.5cm snow dogs unleashed over the entire city of Cardiff. Sculpted out of fibreglass and hand painted individually, the campaign was inspired by the popular novel and film, The Snowman and The Snowdog. An app was also launched for users to download and track the snowdogs trail.
Ty Hafan is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities and offers care to children and support for their families throughout Wales. The organisation relies heavily on public support to raise the £4.3 million needed each year to provide a wide range of free services at the hospice, in communities and in families’ homes so they can make the most of the time they have left together, building precious memories. Their dedicated team is there for families as long as they need, making sure a short life is a full life.
