Introbiz is a keen supporter of a number of charities and throughout November, through our events, over £20,000 has been raised.
On Thursday, 14th November, we held our annual business Expo at Cardiff City Football Stadium and our chosen charity of the day was City Hospice. The City Hospice team cares for patients across the city, managing their symptoms and offering essential support. This means each person in their care can live their lives to the fullest for as long as possible.
Our Charity Gala Dinner was held at The Vale Resort following the Expo and is a great opportunity to network, connect and enjoy plenty of entertainment throughout the evening. Our chosen charity was ABF The Soldiers’ Charity and money was raised through an auction, raffle and donations. The ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is the national charity of the British Army, providing a lifetime of support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families when they are in need. The charity were founded in 1944 to ensure that soldiers returning from World War Two were well cared for. Since then, the welfare of soldiers, past and present, and their families has been at the heart of everything they do. We’re thrilled to announce that over £10,000 was raised for the charity and this will ensure that soldiers, veterans and their families can receive even more support.
On Thursday, 21st November, businesses far and wide were celebrating Beaujolais Day and this was no different at Ty Madeira. For the past decade, Introbiz has hosted Beaujolais Day at the Madeira in the centre of Cardiff and our chosen charity for the celebration was The Pituitary Foundation. It is estimated that there are approximately 70,000 people with a pituitary condition in the United Kingdom. To meet the need for information and support The Pituitary Foundation was set up in 1994 and was subsequently registered as a charity in September 1996.
The Pituitary Foundation is a national support and information organisation for pituitary patients, their families, friends and carers. We are the UK’s leading charity providing support to people affected by disorders of the pituitary gland such as Acromegaly, Cushing’s, Prolactinoma, Diabetes Insipidus and Hypopituitarism.
During the afternoon, there was an auction and raffle held and again, we’re delighted to reveal that over £10,000 was raised. An incredible amount of money for a charity that work really hard to make a difference to a number of people’s lives.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank every single individual and business who has contributed to improving and supporting the amazing work these charities do – it all goes towards making a huge difference to the lives of many.
You are all awesome!
