VCS Radio Cardiff and the Glee club today announced a new partnership for 2018. The Glee club, looking to promote its new nights for 2018, have agreed an annual contract with Radio Cardiff as its official sponsor for its drive time show.

The contract sees VCS Radio Cardiff as its main promoter for its new Pieface Thursday evenings, Foodie Friday’s and its brand new Family Sunday’s, a new initiative bringing comedy to all ages, for a family day out.

Jeremy Rees, operational Director of VCS Cymru commented “This is a brilliant partnership between the city’s premier comedy venue and the city’s only community radio station. The fusion between the two brands, is a very exciting time for us here at Radio Cardiff, and a huge step towards us being at the heart of the entertainment scène, here in the capital city”

Radio Cardiff has over 100 volunteers producing and presenting a packed schedule of music and chat to an estimated audience of 26,000 each week. Known for its MOBO influences, almost a decade of broadcasting has seen the station evolve to include arts, heritage and well-being programming as well as a broad range of other musical tastes.

Earlier this year, VCS Cymru, Cardiff’s social action charity, took the reins at the station following almost a decade of broadcasting by the stations founding members. In the hands of VCS Cymru, Radio Cardiff has been secured as a volunteer based venture for the future, supported by the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund, Lloyds Bank Foundation and commercial advertising revenue.
