Summary
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Show – a professional all-day show in Cardiff City Hall, 11th May 2023, aiming to promote positive mental health through open conversation, promoting awareness and sharing real-life experiences.
The show will include a selection of seminars focused on topics such as coping with mental illness, ways to promote positive mental health, and how to support people around you who are suffering with ill mental health. Alongside this is an exhibition with over 60 charities, organisations and companies promoting their helpful resources, services and initiatives designed to support positive mental health and wellbeing.
Neville Southall MBE will be giving the keynote talk at the Mental Health & Wellbeing networking breakfast. Neville Southall is a former welsh international football player. Neville has been continually described as one of the best goalkeepers of his generation. In 1985 Neville won the FWA Footballer of the Year award.Neville is a passionate supporter of promoting mental health and wellbeing for all. Neville uses his public profile to show support towards people in society who are marginalised and discriminated against. In recent years, Neville is now a keen advocate for more coherent and urgent provision of mental health services and ardent champion for the rights of the LGBT+ community.
Neville is using his voice to help people, and will be joining our show in a Q and A session.
