Having setup Ouma Group from Liverpool in February 2017, Ross Jones – Founder and CEO, has opted to move his specialist marketing business back to his hometown of Swansea, ‘the up and coming city of 2018’.

In a bid to revolutionise the South Wales business scene, Jones has some game-changing plans with a vision to support new starts and economic growth. The business first setup in Liverpool after Jones saw an opportunity to finally launch the marketing business he’d been dreaming of, after years of corporate marketing at the highest level.

The move to Swansea comes in a bid to maintain the business’ rapid growth as it enters its second year of trading, whilst leveraging on Jones’ existing knowledge of the South Wales business scene.

“Liverpool will always have a place in my heart, it’s such a beautiful city with a vast culture and creative scene, but for me, nothing beats the thought of establishing a successful business in your home-town. Supporting the economic growth of local communities and playing a part in the development of our wonderful city” Jones commented.

Ouma Group was founded as a cost-effective alternative to in-house marketing, providing a well-rounded marketing solution for organisations seeking the support of specialist marketeers, without the intimidating cost.

The team which consists of strategists, designers, digital executives and marketing pioneers work as an integrated part of their customers teams to enhance brand perceptions, strategize their marketing and step up their customer experiences.

Ross and his team who have worked with some of the biggest brands across the UK including Amazon, DPD, Morrisons, Argos, JD Sports and many more, hope to use their experience to support and develop small and medium sized businesses across South Wales.

“We have a unique opportunity to make a real impact to the landscape of businesses in Swansea and South Wales as a whole. We truly believe that we have a role to play in developing the region and that our mission statement reflects that exactly.”

The business completed its move to Swansea two weeks before the anniversary of its incorporation on 22nd February, and has already made a positive impact to some noteworthy brands in the area.

Marcus Gough Jones, Managing Director of Eventagious, an award-winning events management business based in the South Wales valleys commented; “We decided we needed a company that we knew we could trust and also one that we knew were good at what they do. We chose the amazing Ouma who have already after only 1 week of managing these things for us (social media & website) have already proven to us that they are with us from now until the end of time.”

Ross Jones hopes that the move to Swansea will come as a breath of fresh air for local businesses looking to enhance their brand and ultimately grow their business.
