Year-round sports training and competition for people with learning disabilities.
Special Olympics Wales is an organisation run entirely by volunteers who give freely of their own time and talents to provide year round training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people of eight years and older with a learning disability.
Our ultimate goal is to help people with a learning disability participate as productive and respected members of society. By offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sport, we hope to increase the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs and thereby assist their integration and inclusion into society.
